Low Connectivity Solutions
Supervisors access fatigue data even in areas with poor network coverage
Continuous updates to ReadiSync and ReadiSupervise, including background synchronization and optimized performance for older devices, have simplified daily workflows across the transportation department.
Supervisors now access fatigue data seamlessly, even in areas with low connectivity, ensuring decisions are based on current ReadiScores at every shift change.
"We've focused heavily on background syncing and data reliability so sites like Peñasquito can spend less time troubleshooting and more time using insights to keep crews safe," said Rafa Echavarria, Vice President, Business Development and Enablement, at Fatigue Science. "Their feedback shows that these updates are delivering exactly that."
Measurable Reduction in Fatigue Risk
Peñasquito's transportation division has reported no fatigue-related accidents or incidents in recent months
Drivers consistently maintain high alertness levels and healthier sleep routines:
80+
Average ReadiScore
Consistent high alertness levels shown by drivers at the beginning of every work shift
5.5+
Average Sleep per Day
Hours (up from 2–4 hours for some drivers)
70
Minimum ReadiScore
No driver below this score operates a vehicle
These metrics reflect a strong collaboration between operations, supervisors, and medical staff, who coordinate daily to manage fatigue proactively rather than reactively.
"Peñasquito's leadership team took predictive fatigue management seriously from day one," added Rafa Echavarria. "They've built operational controls that ensure the data leads to action—and the results speak for themselves."
Strengthening Newmont's Safety Culture
Bus drivers have expressed appreciation for the company's ongoing investment in rest, health, and safety programs.
